Wood Floor Inspiration: Choosing a Floor Colour for Your Scheme
Embrace Bold and Beautiful Flooring in a Children’s bedroom
Children’s bedrooms and playrooms are perfect for experimenting with bold design ideas. Create a vibrant scheme by combining Cape Red furniture with the absolute black, Jack Black.

Add an Eye-Catching Colour Highlight in Any Room
Create a focal point by using a colour highlight in the centre of a room. The dusky pink Hellebore pairs with the bright Carmine and the charismatic 'Royal Navy' for an elegant look.
For an impactful colour drenching effect, you can use the same colour from the floor to the walls by selecting one Little Greene shade in multiple finishes.
Consider painting your skirting boards to support a bold floor paint highlight.
Complement Your Tonal Scheme with Coordinated Flooring
Combine tonally similar shades on your walls, woodwork and flooring for a coordinated scheme. Smalt doorways add an eye-catching element to a landing area. The bold Air Force Blue provides a complementary shade within a blue scheme. Add contrasting Jack Black woodwork to complete the space.
To achieve a similar effect, consider incorporating your ceiling into the scheme rather than painting the floor. Read our guide to painting your ceiling to confirm your colour choices.
