International food writer, Rachel Khoo, recently undertook an ambitious renovation of her family home in Stockholm. She used a selection of vivid colours from Little Greene to create a series of bright and inviting spaces.
Since moving into her contemporary, Swedish home three years ago, Rachel Khoo had been considering how she could update the space for her busy family of four. Equipped with a keen interest in interior design and a degree from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, she put together a meticulous renovation plan which brought together some of her favourite brands.
Using high quality materials, the aim was to create functional spaces that still had timeless style. Rachel created an inspiring study space by pairing bold patterned curtains with Sir Lutyen’s Sage. One of the main challenges was creating a children’s bedroom that could double as a chic guest room. For this, Air Force Blue provides a fun backdrop that still feels stylish and refined.
The jewel in the crown of this project is her stunning master bedroom with adjoined walk-in wardrobe, which daringly uses the sumptuously dark shade, Dock Blue, on all walls. By offsetting the intensity of this colour with crisp white bedding and statement blinds and curtains, she has transformed the space into a luxurious haven.
