Little Greene colours provide timeless backdrops for an eclectic selection of fabrics in the latest photography from Vanessa Arbuthnott. In schemes that celebrate 22 years of beautiful design, Vanessa chose thoughtful and elegant paint colours to complement her distinctive style.
Vanessa Arbuthnott is an artisan fabric designer who has lived and worked in the Cotswolds for the past 35 years. Taking inspiration from the natural world, she works with local craftspeople to create unique, handcrafted textiles, furniture and fabrics, using certified organic cotton and eco-friendly materials.
In schemes that feature Vanessa’s captivating ‘Forest’ collection which launched in February this year, Little Greene colours offer a sense of character and warmth. Her charming fern designs, Wild Fern and Little Fern, are paired with our classic new neutral, Bath Stone, for an inviting bedroom scheme. Our vivid hues, Hicks’ Blue and Hopper, bring Vanessa’s brightly coloured furnishings to life.
In these distinguished sitting rooms, our versatile Slaked Lime Deep offers a calm backdrop upon which to experiment with colour and pattern. A classic colour combination is utilised as bold pink curtains pair with the chic Fairford sofa in the lush green Moss colourway.
Elsewhere, Slaked Lime Deep complements a tranquil palette of blues, greens and yellows.
For a sophisticated living space, Vanessa chose Serpentine to sit alongside rich terracotta furnishings. A smart grey with warm undertones, it pairs beautifully with both simple fabric designs and intricate, playful patterns.
